This Is When I Became a Fan!

At the time, I was a radio Announcer/DJ at Peace FM Manchester now known as Legacy FM. I had just finished my shift and was heading to the Big Western To discuss the details on an event I was having.

As I walked through the backstreets of moss side; I came across what I perceived to be (what we in the UK would describe as) a group of "Road Man". One of them (Bugzy) was spitting bars that shook me.

I remember thinking "There is NO POSSIBLE WAY this kid would EVER FAIL should he pick up music for real!" We bumped fists and I moved on due to the meeting I had with Miss Pat, who was then the manager/owner of The Big Western.

When I got home I couldn't get this kid out of my mind and wanted to interview him on my show, so I set out to find him with no Avail. Some time later I was walking through the Arndale in Manchester. As I looked up I could see Bugzy darting through as if in a hurry, with hands full of JD bags.

He looked up almost at the same time I did; I could see he recognized me and stopped to speak to me. We had a very brief chat as I expressed how long I have been searching for him to do this interview.

I gave him my details and remember telling him to autograph our photo on the spot. He chuckled as I told him he best get used to this, cause EVERYBODY is gonna want one when they find out who he is!
